The new Lebanese amnesty law excludes several financial offences, including money laundering, fraudulent bankruptcy and certain bank crimes. But its drafting raises a major question: could prosecutions based on other qualifications be erased? The courts will now have to draw the line between amnesty and financial responsibility in Lebanon.

Kfar Rumman, Nabatiyeh and Ali al-Taher focus their concerns, while strikes, civilian casualties and displacement weaken the negotiations and reinvigorate the debate on the security future of South Lebanon.
