On the morning of 3 June, Lebanon remained between diplomatic announcements and continued Israeli strikes. The last consolidated assessment reported 3,468 deaths since 2 March, 35 of which since Monday. The victims identified include James George Karam, his daughter Theodosia and his son Tony, killed on the Nabatieh-Khardali road. In Washington, a fourth session of Lebanese-Israeli discussions sought to transform a fragile truce into a verifiable mechanism.

Antonio Guterres recommends the continuation of a UN military presence in Lebanon after the planned end of the Finul's term of office on 31 December 2026. The report submitted to the Security Council proposes three options, ranging from about 2,000 to over 5,500 personnel, to monitor the Blue Line, support the Lebanese army and support de-escalation. The Lebanese Embassy in Washington states that Hezbollah has accepted an American proposal for a mutual cessation of attacks with Israel.
