Nouveau ministre des Finances du gouvernement de Hassan Diab, Ghazi Wazni, économiste de formation, était longtemps également, le conseiller économique du Président de la Chambre Nabih Berri.

Il a été nommé Ministre des Finances par le Premier Ministre Hassan Diab, le 21 janvier 2020 sur proposition de Nabih Berri. Il succède ainsi à un autre proche du Président du Parlement, Ali Hassan Khalil.

Ghazi Wazni possède un bureau d’étude, le Bureau d’Etudes Ghazi Wazni.

Il aura la lourde tâche de tenter de redresser les finances publiques tout en relançant l’activité économique du Liban, largement impactée par la crise économique.
