US sanctions against Hezbollah, Amal, Iran and two Lebanese security institutions are shifting the Lebanese debate to sensitive terrain. A few days away from a meeting in the Pentagon, the measure places the army, the government and the parties in the face of a difficult equation: strengthening state authority without turning institutions into a new field of political confrontation.

Lebanon remains a prisoner of community allegiance, foreign protection and an oligarchic lock that blocks the state. This article examines the crisis of sovereignty, the institutional collapse, the role of political-financial networks and the need for a re-foundation based on independent justice, active neutrality and constitutional guarantees for all Lebanese citizens.

Faced with the destruction in the South and the denominational divisions, this text calls on the Lebanese to defend together the 10,452 km2 of the country. He refuses resignation, questions political silences and pleads for national citizenship, beyond religious affiliations, before it is too late, truly for all.

The psychological consequences of the conflict on Lebanese children remain less visible than material destruction, but they already affect hundreds of thousands of minors. An area of concern is intense fear, nightmares, sleep disorders, sadness, irritability, drop-out and separation anxiety. Washington links the truce to Hezbollah, Israel seeks guarantees against the Iranian axis, Riyadh tries to preserve Lebanese unity and Beirut wants to maintain its national mandate. Between Ormuz, sanctions, financing, Israeli withdrawal and the return of displaced persons, Lebanon must avoid becoming a map in the regional arm.

The death of Amal Khalil turns the truce into a real protection test. The ceasefire cannot be judged only in Washington. It must be checked in the South with civilians, journalists and rescue workers. The case requires Lebanon to document the facts, seize the relevant authorities and integrate press security into any diplomatic negotiations. Peace begins with concrete guarantees.

The three weeks will tell if the announcement becomes local verifiable reality.
